Installation is simple. Bury the boundary wire or use our sod staples for above ground installation, attach it to a transmitter plugged into a standard wall outlet, put the collar on the dog and train for a short time and that's it! When your dog tries to cross the boundary, a signal is sent to the receiver collar and a harmless correction discourages him from crossing the boundary. In just a short time, your pet learns to stay safely within the boundary where you want! You can use the remote to reinforce the corrections any time you desire whether inside OR outside the boundary.

The receiver stimulation is pre-set at the factory for optimal performance. Should your dog enter the containment field, he or she will hear a 2 second warning tone. After training he/she will know to back into the safe part of the yard. By moving forward or staying in the same place, the collar will deliver a continuous level of stimulation until he/she moves back into the yard.

• 100 feet of twisted wire included - Twisted wire cancels the radio signal coming from your transmitters. This enables your dog to cross over the wire in the safe part of the yard. Where there is single wire, the fence is active and your dog will be unable to pass. Your kit comes with 100 feet of FasTrak pre-twisted wire.

  • Auto–Safety Shut Off: Prevents unnecessary exposure to a corrective stimulation. After shut off the unit will reactivate automatically.
  • Battery Status:.The collar tells you if you have a good charge, a weak charge or needs to be charged.
  • Patented Run-Through Prevention - Special features are incorporated into your system so your dog cannot “run-through” the containment field without activating a strong stimulation. The receiver worn on your dog's collar automatically increases the stimulation when your dog continues more than 1/3 of the way through the containment zone, regardless of the transmitter stimulation level setting. For example, if the signal is detected 12 feet from the boundary wire and your dog enters the containment zone, this feature is activated when he is approximately 8 feet from the wire. At this point, your dog automatically receives the highest level of stimulation.
  • Over-Stimulation Prevention - In the unlikely event that your dog becomes “trapped” in the containment field, this feature limits the stimulation duration to 10 seconds. The system shuts off for 10 seconds before resuming stimulation for another 10 seconds. This pattern will repeat for a maximum of 3 cycles, a duration of 60-seconds.

You can use your hand-held transmitter (remote trainer) to train your dog within the boundaries of your in-ground fence, or you may remove the dog from the fenced area. Be sure to remove the collar from the dog when crossing the field boundaries. The hand-held transmitter (remote trainer) has a working range of up to 150 yards.

I installed the 5100 the first month it was available well over a year ago. It surrounds 4.5 acres of property. The waterproof collars are what I was most needing since I have a pond on the property and one of my dogs is a Lab - she loves the pond.... This fence has worked FLAWLESSLY! I have not had a single problem with it and my dogs have NEVER breached the boundaries. My first two pups became very familiar with the fence at an early age. I just recently added a 10 month old German Shepherd to the family and I was fairly concerned that I might have a problem. But with the flags in place and the collar on tight and a lot of walks within the property, he is quickly learning some respect for the boundaries!!! Again, couldn't be happier with the fence. I am here today to buy another collar for the additional dog. Although the first two dogs probably don't need the collars any more - I sometimes catch them getting careless during their play and "pushing" the boundaries, so I keep them on them for a reminder. This fence gives me peace of mind.......!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!! Just make the collars "quick-release" instead of buckle. It can be very difficult to get on my dog, trying to work the buckle.

Everyone told my wife and me there was no way we could keep our 2 Siberian Huskies at home. They where WRONG! Very easy installation and very user-friendly. We have had a couple of escapes and are unsure why; other than that a great product. The customer service is a real big advantage also. Being able to call and speak to someone in a timely manner in itself is worth it.

I would uncategorically recommend this product to anyone with a dog who likes to roam the neighborhood unsupervised. My Rottweiller became quite the "Houdini". As quickly as I could find the places she was escaping from the yard, she would find another. I did not want to spend $10,000 putting a wall or metal gate aroung my property but my neighborhood has busy streets and my dog was in danger every time she got out. I purchased a pet fence from a company online. It promised the world and claimed to be the ultimate in technology. As soon as the box arrived, I knew I had been conned. It was made in China and was obviously VERY cheap. I went ahead and installed it. It worked intermittently and the field changed size all the time. I tried to talk with the distributor and she was unavailable and unhelpful. I bit the bullet and anted up again for the innotek unit which was about the same price. As soon as I saw it, knew I had a quality item. It worked flawlessly and I am one very satisfied customer. My Rottweiller got sick and had to be put down. Very sad. But now my new pup is learning about boundaries from her predecessor's Innotek system! Thanks.

I have the 5100, contain and train product. I could not be happier with the results. My dog is/was a stubborn willed, very quick little cuss that always wanted to chase everthing he saw. That has thankfully ended. I had chosen to have the system professionally installed by a local company in Louisville, Ky. TLC Pet Fencing. I'm a single father of two girls and though the installation appeared within my abilities, I chose this direction. TLC even helped with the training of our dog. Awesome system ! Easy to install, fantastic for training. With two dogs, you can control which you want to stimulate and /or tone. Eighteen weeks of puppy class could not accomplish what I was able to do with two weeks of training. My two Blue Heelers love to put on their collars because they know they have the freedom to run; I know that they are protected and will respond to my commands.

Digitally coded signal to prevent false activation. Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. Other brands' receivers can be activated by televisions, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. We use filters and coded signals to prevent this. Don't trust your pet's safety to anything but a PetSafe™ Containment System. Our receiver is Fail-Safe. If your pet gets trapped in the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 20 seconds to prevent overcorrection.

• Audio break alarm and light on the transmitter warns you if the wire has been broken.
