Safety features:

Digitally coded signal to prevent false activation. Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. Other brands' receivers can be activated by televisions, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. We use filters and coded signals to prevent this. Don't trust your pet's safety to anything but a PetSafeâ„¢ Containment System. Our receiver is Fail-Safe. If your pet gets trapped in the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 20 seconds to prevent overcorrection.

• Audio break alarm and light on the transmitter warns you if the wire has been broken.
• Built-in lightning and surge protection for storm-prone areas. If you live in an area that is highly prone to lightning or surges, you may want to consider our Lightning Protection Module. Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against lightning or surge damage.
• Transmitter cover conceals range adjustment control to prevent tampering and accidental increases or decreases in signal.

Training flags are used to establish a visual boundary for your pet during training. After about 30 days, you will be able to remove the flags.

If you are dissatisfied with this product for any reason, you may return it within 45 days for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping charge. SHIPPING AND HANDLING ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Items displaying excessive wear are not eligible for a refund. Wire that has been removed from the spool and/or placed in the ground and flags that are rusted or have been used are examples of items displaying excessive wear. PetSafe has a Lifetime Warranty on parts and one year on labor. PetSafe guarantees all parts of this product for life against manufacturing or parts defects. Misuse or incorrect handling is not covered. If your unit cannot be repaired, PetSafe may replace it with new or reconditioned merchandise. There is a nominal labor charge for out of warranty products but all parts are free during the warranty period.
